The Elves of Stinking Forest

Deep within the Stinking Forest there lives a little-known nation of Elves. They are rarely seen, as they prefer to keep themselves within their domain; but the right emissary can occasionally lure them out, if the stakes are high enough.

The Elves of Stinking Forest are a major independent. They may be allied for a DP advantage of 20 DP´s. In a game in which the Elves of Stinking Forest are available, Stinking Forest counts as independent territory.

The Elfin Hero has a missile leadership factor (SLF), denoted by an exclamation mark after the star on the counter. This adds 1 SF to the missile factor of missile units (other than missile leaders) stacked with him.

The plant rune <plant> in a unit's MF means

that it pays only 1 MP to enter forest and hill/forest hexes;
when the unit has a retreat path open to it into a forest or hill/forest hex, it may take that path regardless of the maximum MF of the opponent´s stack, i e, it is as though it had MF = oo for that hex of movement;
when the unit withholds from combat in a forest or hill/forest hex, the defensive counterattack has no effect;
an attacking stack consisting entirely of such units do not suffer the die roll modifier for terrain if their target is in a forest or hill/forest hex.

Exotic Magic: Dryad Healers

When a stack or part of a stack within the Dryad Healers´ RF is eliminated or disrupted by a specific effect, the Dryad Healers may absorb the effect instead of the stack, which stands. The Healers are eliminated as they do this. For other purposes, the RF of the Healers is 0.
