Granta Morris is Cambridge´s mixed Cotswold Morris side.
I have to hand 2 photos of us in mid-dance: a rather ragged-looking Lass of Richmond Hill (GIF 44K) and a swoopy swervy sort of dance called Next Year in Ousington (GIF 44K), which was written by some friends of ours when they were known as Ouse William Morris. (This is the side that became Ouse Washes Molly Dancers.)
I also have a photo of Ilse Briggs sitting with a big stick in the garden of the Cambridge Blue, Gwydir Street (GIF 59K) (quite near where we practise), and one of Mark Shelton just after sniffing the contents of our lucky chamber pot (GIF 45K).
Granta Morris is affiliated to Open Morris.
The new practice season starts on Monday 6th October 1997 for existing dancers, and welcoming new dancers (of any experience level, including none!) on 13th October. We practise every Monday at St Barnabas´ Church Hall, on Mill Road and St Barnabas´ Road.
