Y-Corporation are the premier superhero team currently operating in the U K. Founded in 1987, they were recently closely involved in saving the world from the machinations of the Magistrix and the False Prophet. Current members are the Mechanic, Mindwitch, Fenriswolf, the Runt, Runs with the Moon, Athenai, Crystalline and ORWELL. Allies include Red Kite, Swordsmaster, Eos, David and Jack Craft. Y-Corporation are available for all kinds of legal operations, and operate a sliding scale of fees according to the task undertaken and the ability of the client to pay.
Y-Corporation is named after
36 Wycliffe Road
London WC3
England
and this is where most of us live. For further information contact us by e-mail or reach us at this address.
Y-Corporation is part of a long-running rôle-playing game which has been played since early 1989 (real time). For real-world info, see the Unofficial Y-Corporation home page.
In 1989, Y-Corporation met Azrael, Angel of Death. He told us then that Armageddon was at hand, and that the forces of Hell were massing against England, and that this could be the end of the world.
From that time, Y-Corporation have been at the forefront of the efforts to defeat this threat, culminating in the War with the Magistrix, the recent Battle of the Three Citadels and the final defeat, in pitched battle in central London, of the Magistrix and her ally the False Prophet. As we have all discovered in our own ways, the world is a fundamentally different place now. Y-Corporation is particularly at the service of those for whom the new world configuration is more than they can handle alone---which is almost everyone.
We were responsible for the return of the Stone of Britain and the Sword of Britain, and found the Hound Pursuivant. We rescued the current Magister from the False Prophet. Our record speaks for itself.

Here is a copy of the famous ``victory cartoon´´ drawn by Jackie Duckhawk soon after the events of Easter 1990. The observant amongst you will have realised that a victory photograph was not possible since by the time that the False Prophet had been destroyed, Barbara Peregrina was dead, whilst photos prior to the ``End of the World´´ that show Tzu feature Jalapeño rather than Eos. It includes all the Y-Corporation members that were instrumental in fighting against the end of the world:
| Eos | Barbara Peregrina and Pegasa | Goldhawk | ||
| David | Mindwitch | Runs with the Moon | Jack Craft | Tzu |
| The Mechanic | Fenriswolf | The Runt | ||
Y-Corporation is the only official representative and agent for all its members and allies*, and all requests for services from them should be addressed to Y-Corporation at the address above.
Eos does not really exist: the woman pictured is
Jalapeño, a young mutant with fire powers. Jalapeño was one of the founder
members of Y-Corporation. She was kidnapped by an insane Greek scientist who
had taken the name Hephaistos, and subjected to surgical modification and
psychological reprogramming to become one of an ersatz pantheon of Greek
gods under his control on the isle of Aeaea: Eos, goddess of the dawn. She
now manifests powers of light rather than of fire. She has left
Y-Corporation in order to spend time with her family, to study, and to come
fully to terms with her new persona, but is on call as an ally should we
need her.
Barbara
Peregrina and Pegasa, her
intelligent winged horse, were founder members of Y-Corporation. Only since
their deaths (Barbara killed herself in order to follow the London League,
and lead them back to this world) has it become clear that they were
travellers from beyond the gates of this creation. We believe that they
continue in some form in another creation.
Goldhawk joined
Y-Corporation in 1989 and has powers of birds and of the air. She is a
fierce fighter, famed for her ruthlessness. Since her wounding at the hands
of the Morrigan in the Battle of the Three Citadels, she has taken the name
Red Kite and has formed a team
with Swordsmaster though both remain allies of
Y-Corporation. Her relationship with Swordsmaster is a subject of some
speculation and is variously rumoured to be that of cousins, siblings or
even husband and wife.
David was found on the shadow plane suffering from
amnesia when Y-Corporation were searching for ways to delay Armageddon. Of
human form, but made from stone, he fought with us to save the world, and in
the Summerlands discovered that his true identity was that of Guardian of
Birmingham. He has now returned to this post, but remains our ally.
Mindwitch cares about the feelings of others more than
anyone, because she experiences them directly herself. This has sometimes
proved a drawback, especially when the Mechanic is
harmed, but normally her ability to understand others and to find ways to
consensus, not to mention causing opponents to run away and gaugeing the
truthfulness of allies, is invaluable. Mindwitch and the Mechanic have a
child, Uhura. Mindwitch cannot fly.
Originally a shaman of the Pawnee tribe, ``Jack
Daniels´´ had been forced to leave the U S and was living in a squat
(i e, an abandoned property) in London when he encountered
Y-Corporation. After his encounters with Azrael, Angel of Death he retook
his shamanic name Runs with the
Moon and has come to view the whole world has his
tribe. He has mind and weather powers.
Jack Craft, M P is a consulting occult
investigator. He had been hired by Y-Corporation several times before they
all met Azrael; from that time, they worked together in common cause. He is
driven by two overriding aims: acquisition of knowledge, and putting that
knowledge at the service of those who need it. He is a traveller, detective,
magician, actor, historian and scientist.
Tzu is a native of the shadow plane, and came voluntarily
from shadow China to aid Y-Corporation in our fight against the
Magistrix. He has formidable martial skills and, since meeting the Hound
Pursuivant, is a supernaturally able tracker. He has now returned to his
homeland.
Leader and founder
member of Y-Corporation, the Mechanic sees the world as a giant toy, there for him
to take apart and reassemble into ever more-improbable tools and gadgets. He
assumed the rôle of leader mainly because no-one else wanted to do it, and
he as applied the same pragmatic philosophy to resolving differences within
the group. This has occasionally caused some amusement among the others. He
is married to Mindwitch.
Fenriswolf appears to be a large and ferocious wolf,
but is actually an alien from a planet where intelligence evolved from
canine rather than simian forebears. He is a dangerous opponent and a loyal
ally, and is working with Y-Corporation until he can find a way to return to
his home, which orbits an unlocated star thousands of light-years away in
the direction of the galactic core.
Another of the
founder members of Y-Corporation, the Runt has brains as well as brawn and is a university
student. He has a long-standing rivalry with Strongman of the Radical
League, to whom he bears a certain resemblance.
Another of the false Hephaistos´s victims, Athenai´s prior history is not known, but after Y-Corporation exposed the Olympus/Aeaea fabrication she chose to retain the persona and talents ``of Athena´´ (hence her name), and has now joined Y-Corporation herself.
Founder member of the London League and now virtually the only active remaining member remaining in the U K, the Black Assassin has offered to work as an ally of Y-Corporation, and has even gone so far as to offer the whole of Y-Corporation membership of the London League.
A former member of ORCHID, but always known for his good humour and fair conduct, Crystalline fought with Y-Corporation in the latter stages of the campaign against the Magistrix and (with the defeat of ORCHID) has now taken advantage of the pardon granted to all who fought at the Battle of Three Citadels to join Y-Corporation.
Hydron was originally a member of the London League; when he fell out with them he joined Y-Corporation, but that didn´t last long either. He is currently working with ILIAD, and has water powers.
The mysterious Mme Victoria was associated with Y-Corporation for a time, but has now disappeared again.
One of the original members of Y-Corporation, the Monster was the victim of a cruel series of experiments in so-called ``hormonal engineering´´ (a combination of xenotransplantation surgery and immunosuppression) which left him composed of the body parts of various different members of the animal kingdom. Although taken in by Y-Corporation, his condition was ultimately to prove fatal.
The Ninja appeared with Y-Corporation for a while, but has once more disappeared. We know little more.
ORWELL is reclusive, preferring to remain at home at Y-Corporation headquarters. He is easily accessible by telephone, and formerly associated with the London League as well as with Y-Corporation. His identity remains a secret, as this enables him to maintain his abilities seemingly to find out everything about everybody.
Rowan, Holly and Ash are the youngest allies of Y-Corporation: they are the 3 puppies that Fenriswolf brought back with him from the Summerlands. Their mother is the Hound Pursuivant, and they are cute and very, very dangerous.
Swordsmaster came to be associated with Y-Corporation at the very end of the War with the Magistrix, when he accompanied Goldhawk and others to the Summerlands to find the Sword of Britain. He wielded the sword at the Battle of the Three Citadels and is now an ally of Y-Corporation and the companion of Red Kite.
White Lightning is a young man with electrical powers, an occasional ally of Y-Corporation, and is associated with Rachel Schirm and Swordsmaster.
We also have another advisor known only as Rachel---a most learned magician, linked during the Battle of the Three Citadels with Swordsmaster and White Lightning.
*with the exception of Jack Craft, who runs his own investigative and consultancy company from the Commercial Road
